Metrosearch Online
is a web-based housing research application. It is integrated with a
full-featured mapping, or GIS, system and provides easy access to Metrostudy's
complete housing database, which includes all new home subdivisions currently
active, future, or built out since the year 2000. To the prospective client and
IT professional, distribution and maintenance is simple since it is a true web
application which is automatically updated on the server. As a research tool, it
is powerful and intuitive and will require less training when compared to our
desktop platform. This online site features easy map lookups - of subdivisions,
its builders, and product offerings. To study just the right comparables, you
can filter by custom geography or housing criteria, or both. The sortable data
grid stays in synch with the map window where you can easily move back and forth
between location-view and housing dataview. When you are ready to print, you can
select from a variety of detail and summary reports with or without the actual
number-referenced map. Because all final output is in .pdf format, you can
print, save, or email the contents.
Technical Requirements: Metrosearch Online requires a high-speed internet connection, Internet Explorer 5.0 or above, and a minimum display resolution of 1024x768 (at least 1280x1024 is highly recommended). To pass security, the user must be able to download an ActiveX control, digitally signed by Metrostudy, which is automatically installed on initial use. Popup blockers, if enabled, may need to be set to allow the application to run correctly. The Adobe Acrobat Reader browser plug-in must also be installed (and can be downloaded free if not already present).
